During endodontic treatment, the root canal system will be permanently sealed. The surface of the tooth, however, will be sealed with a temporary filling. Your dentist will place a permanent filling. This should be done as soon as possible, not longer than one month after completion of endodontic therapy at our office. Please contact your dentist’s office to schedule this appointment.
Your tooth will be weaker in the period between endodontic therapy and final restoration placement by your dentist. You should avoid chewing on the tooth until this filling is placed. A final treatment report will be sent to your dentist upon completion of treatment.
